50 schoolbags were distributed with the help of a volunteer from Tel-Aviv, in a Jewish Religious school for children of underprivileged families, in the southern Tel Aviv area. The schoolbags were sent in containers, by GAIN Australia. They contained all of the necessary school supplies such as: rulers, pencils, notebooks, crayons, paper, and more.
A lot of the families who send their children to that school cannot afford to buy all the required items at the beginning of each school year, and are greatly blessed by the donation, which was by GAIN Australia.
More than a 100 teddy bears were distributed in Sderot, the city that was on the fire lines of the Gaza war a few months ago and that was hit by more than 8,000 rockets from the Gaza strip over the past 8 years. Children from the whole city, recreating in a sheltered entertainment center, were deeply blessed by the visit and the teddy bears donation.
HHCoalition operative and American sponsors visited three Holocaust survivors in Ashdod. Financial donations were given, and vegetables purchase for a Russian elderly couple who's husband suffers from both Parkinson's disease and cancer. Lots of tears were shed, as stories were shared, donations were given and human interaction was flowing with warmth, friendship and gratitude.
American sponsors distributed industry clothes in south Tel Aviv at a Sudanese outreach center. 2 Sudanese families living heavily under the poverty line were blessed with a financial aid from the North Carolina team. In a situation as this where one of the Sudanese refugees does not have a steady income or even legal papers to work in Israel, any financial help reaches out to their souls.
A team from North Carolina joined today in volunteering operations at a local Jerusalem soup kitchen; they peeled potatoes provided by HHCoalition. They served meals to the poor and met the head of the soup kitchen Avraham Israel. In addition, they distributed industry clothes provided by GAIN Australia to the poor and needy of "Chason Yishaya" soup kitchen.
Over 100 school bags were given out to children in the beginning elementary grades in Migdal HaEmek, a small city right next to Nazareth in Northern Israel. These school bags were part of a very special donation, provided generously by GAIN Australia and were given out together with Migdal Or foundation, led by the famous Rabbi Grossman.
The children were extremely blessed to select their bags personally and take them home with them. Their parents attended the event distribution as well. They were very grateful that their children were able to be blessed with beautiful bags that were brand new.
Each bag that was distributed contained many goodies inside for school and home usage such as crayons, markers, coloring books, tooth bruhes, tooth paste and etc.

600 KLM blankets were picked up today from Yafo warehouse by an HHCoalition representative, and delivered in Jerusalem at a local religious coordinator’s place, Myriam Rabanit, living on Ha Torah mi Tsion street. The blankets were not yet out of the car that already needy street people from the neighborhood were coming and enjoying the blessing of receiving a couple blankets, especially in a region (Jerusalem area) known for being particularly cold at night.
350 brand new high quality T-shirts were provided by HHCoalition partners and GAIN Australia were donated to the head of the Foundation of the "Remembrance of Ashdod" (Holocaust survivors organization),Aaron Molotovski. The elderly were highly impressed with the quality of the items donated and their original price shown on tags (Tags were attached to each clothing items).
600 blankets were given out by the HHCoalition to the Chazon Yeshayahu organization in Jerusalem. The blankets are special KLM flight blankets and they were provided generously by GAIN.
In the same day, a religious school (Yeshiva) from Beer Sheva sent out a truck to one of HHC warehouse to pick up 1,500 blankets that will be distributed to the needy in their city. Social activities in Beer Sheva are coordinated by Rabbi Nathan Spector.
An event with over 200 people was held in Kiryat Gat in honor and to give aid to many disabled citizens of the city. Helping Hand Coalition representatives as well as the Kiryat Gat mayor and other city officials attended the event.
Wheelchairs for disabled children were given out in light of the spring Jewish holidays (Purim & Passover). The children receiving the gifts were extremely blessed as each wheelchair can reach anywhere between hundreds of dollars.
This was the first set of events that will be held in order to distribute the wheelchairs donated by GAiN Australia to children all over Israel. In the very near future, over 100 wheelchairs will be given out to children who need the wheelchairs the most.
Wheelchairs were distributed to handicapped children in need in Kiryat Gat. 17 children received these special wheelchairs sent to Israel by special friends and donors GAIN Australia.
These wheelchairs are a great blessing to these children as they cannot afford to purchase them due to the high cost of one wheelchair.
Helping Hand Coalition interviewed in Israel by the national US TV network - PBS. During the whole-day session HHCoalition assisted by the crew of PBS visited Hazon Yishaya in Jerusalem during the soup kitchens activity and food distribution. Also Holocaust survivors were visited to tell their stories from the past and about their lives today. Program will be broadcast nationalwide in the USA within next month(s).
Sponsoring youth football teams in Kanot with ADIDAS sportswear donated through the Helping Hand Coalition by Global Aid Network (GAiN) Germany.The boarding school holds over 200 youth, boys and girls, aged 14-18, taking in Israeli youth from all different ethnic backgrounds. Many of them come from families in all kind of distress from all over Israel. The boarding school educates these youth, trains them in different professions that they choose from (sport, police and etc.) and prepares them for life. Once they reach the age of 18, these youth go into the IDF and serve in combat units. The Helping Hand Coalition organized an event for youth who play on the MACCABI youth football team. Many ADIDAS items were donated to these youth: shirts, soccer pants and shirts, socks, soccer shoes and etc.. We were told that playing football is the most they desire. Therefore we were so happy to bring them all sportswear they will use to develop they skills. These items were donated by GAIN Germany who are partners of the HHCoalition from Europe. To have more fun, a small event was organized also included sweets, snacks, drinks, donuts. The event brought a tremendous happiness to youth and to all of us. We were very happy to see them inspired by all gifts and enjoyed the little party done for them. And we promised them to be back soon.... This event was one of the first of its kind to give aid to these youth and other events and ways of giving them aid are already being planned.
Furniture sent by HHC partners from Germany (GAIN) were distributed in south Tel Aviv area, for needy Sudanese family who live way below poverty lines in the Central Bus station area. On that day, congregational leader Jeremiah organized a massive street distribution of material donated by the Coalition in the previous weeks. Many families, children and jobless young adults were blessed with clothes, blankets, home supplies, and more.

Harald Eckert - Chairman of the 'Christen an der Seite Israels' (Christians for Israel) and 'Israel Heute' (Israel Today) interviewed for 'Daily Israel' in Jerusalem during International Conference of the 'Christians for Israel' by Ravid Neuhaus.
A team of people from the HHCoalition was sent to the southern Israeli cities bordering the Gaza strip that were being attacked at the time by missiles from the Hamas in Gaza during the battling conflict. A convoy of 4 cars/vans was loaded with food, water and toys. These items were gathered and donated by people and organizations (Joseph Project, Dugit, GAiN, and others) from all over Israel and from abroad.
Once arriving in Ofakim, the team visited a bomb shelter. Over a hundred children stayed and were accommodated at this bomb shelter as schools were out due to constant missiles from Gaza. Their parents had to go to work and to make sure that the children were safe, they stayed in the bomb shelters. Food (including chocolates, sweets and etc.) and toys were given out to the children. The children were very excited and extremely happy to receive these boxes of toys. They ran towards the boxes of toys as if they were gold.
After this, another stop was made in Ofakim where IDF soldiers gather and coordinate activities for local children and youth during this time of crisis. Food, water and toys were donated there as well.
The team then moved on to Sderot, a city that has been hit by thousands of missiles for the past 8 years. As the team was driving through the city, cameras and journalists from TV networks from all around the world could be seen on the sidewalks and city center.
The first distribution was made at a local center, operated by local coordinators. During the unloading of the donations, missiles hitting the ground near by were heard all around the city. The second stop was at a local youth center. Then, shortly later, a stop was made to aid a group of over 40 Holocaust survivors who waited very eagerly to receive the water and food as they need it very much.
All of the people who received the visits and donations from the HHCoalition were very blessed. The items given out to them help them very much, but more than that, the fact that they know and see that someone cares for them, loves them and wants to help them in this great time of need and crisis, is something of invaluable significance and a tremendous blessing to them.
Thousands of items of brand new clothes were sent from Australia to Israel to give aid to those that need it the most. All of these clothes are brand new, some still wrapped in their original nylon package. The clothes come from a very well-known and popular Australian clothing brand - 'Industrie'. Almost all of them have sale-tags on them that read anywhere from 25$ to over 100$. The price tags add a lot to the excitement and enthusiasm of the people in need who receive the clothing items as it allows them to literally see the high value and price of these original, authentic and stylish new clothes.
The Helping Hand Coalition thanks Global Aid Network (GAiN) Australia who was able to sponsor and bring these high-quality clothes to Israel in order to give aid, support and bless the people in need living in cities all over Israel.
Brand new KLM blankets were delivered to a special ministry in Tel Aviv that works to bring aid to women who deal with prostitution and drugs. The women wonder about the south side of Tel Aviv which is well-known for its wide range of ethnic immigrants/workers from all over the world and for its lower living standards. On these streets they sell their bodies for whatever they can get and purchase drugs with their profit. The Door of Hope ministry helps tens of these women by providing for them shelter, food, recreational activites and by rehabilitating and renewing the minds and spirits of these desperate women.
Nearly 700 kg of potatoes were picked up from the Jerusalem wholesale market, and distributed with the help of two French volunteers who joined HHC weekly activity of Potato distribution in Jerusalem.
Potatoes were distributed to local soup kitchen called "Chazon Yishaya", a facility that provides food, dental care and career training to the needy, elderly and the homeless in Jerusalem. It is always a great privilege to witness the direct usage of the vegetables donated by HHC as soon as they arrive at the soup kitchen.
The head of the organization, Avraham Israel, expressed his deepest gratitude for the potatoes, and the need for it, especially in this time of crisis where budgets for non-profit organizations are being cut down up to 50 % at times.

These Holocaust survivors were very blessed to receive this food and it is very obvious, as seen from the way they receive this food, that it is aid very much needed to them. This food distribution is part of a project coordinated with special sponsors from the Netherlands who's heart and desire is to give aid to these precious people.

Special visits to Holocaust survivors in Nazareth were made by supporters and HHCoalition partners from the Netherlands. Theses special guests spent 2 days meeting the Holocaust survivors in person that they give aid to from back home in Europe. At each of these meetings, the Holocaust survivors were greeted with a special Passover package packed with groceries & goodies for the upcoming Passover holiday. The Holocaust survivors were very blessed by the packages but even more blessed by the smiles and hearts of these Dutch friends who came all this way to wish them many blessings and a happy holiday.
During one of the days in Nazareth with the special guests from the Netherlands, 600 Blankets were picked from an HHC warehouse and dropped off in Nazareth Illit for distribution to the neediest of the neediest right before the Passover holiday.
Brand new blankets and a 100 boxes of second-hand clothes were distributed to a local Sudanese congregation through its leader Pastor Jeremiah in the south Tel-Aviv area.
During the same day, many Ashdod congregation members picked up 1,000 blankets for distribution to the needy in the southern Israel areas.
With the help of 2 American volunteers from Jerusalem, local city officials and Shimon Cohen, 100 HHCoalition t-shirt packages were distributed to Holocaust survivors and to an Ethiopian community in Sderot to bless the local population in the light of the upcoming Jewish celebration of Pessah (Passover). The Holocaust survivors were so grateful for the t-shirts they received, especially since the goods were designed more for young people, it made the elderly feel really special.
Later on, in a local Sderot children school, 15 teddy bears were distributed to children around the age of 4. The distribution brought joy and priceless smiles to the unpriviledged children of Sderot. Finally, 5 children wheelchairs were given out to the Ha'atzma’im Be’er Sheva organization that helps the disabled. This foundation rehabilitates the disabled through art work shops by offering work at their local coffee shop which serves the Be’er Sheva university students everyday. They also offer counseling and help to a thriving community of people who come from Jewish, Arabic, Bedouin backgrounds together, where all are treated with equal opportunities.
A worldwide Executive Director of the Helping Hand Coalition and a partner from Holland joined for the distribution of 600 brand new KLM blankets, received in containers from Europe, to a Be'er Sheva yeshiva school (studies of the Tanakh-bible). Blankets were distributed to very needy families in coordination with Rabbi Nathan Spector, in the Be’er Sheva area, and in a surrounding village.
Rabbi Spector explained how those blankets were a real blessing to those families, since some of them cannot afford to buy heaters to warm up their home in the witner, and especially since temperatures drop down drastically and are coupled with heavy cold winds in the evening in the southern desert areas.
A food distribution was made for 200 Holocaust survivors living in Sderot.
The distribution was conducted on two separate days. The Holocaust survivors, some of whom are also war veterans (men who fought during the war), were extremely blessed to receive the food parcels as they included all of the food essentials that they need so very much. The food parcels were provided by special friends from Holland who donated generously for these precious people.
